OUR STORY

Since 92, Ty’s Tattoos has been the longest standing shop in Eastern Idaho. What started with Ty in the late 80’s has evolved into a powerhouse of award winning artists, pushing boundaries while staying true to the culture and the growth of the industry.

In 2016 Lee joined the shop bringing years of experience, an unmatched drive, and a vision to take things to the next level. Under Lee’s leadership, Ty’s has grown while honoring the roots and long time legacy, creating an unmatched experience for our shop community and artists alike.

We’re not just another shop - we’re a fusion of street shop energy and studio level craftsmanship, where every client interaction creates an artistic connection is built to last.

OUR FOUNDER

After decades behind the machine, Ty Chacon officially announced his retirement June 2025.

Ty asked us to share his deepest thanks with every person who stood by him over the years—the highs, the lows, and every conversation in between that shaped this community. If you’ve ever supported him, know this: you mattered more than you may ever realize.

His message to all of us is simple and clear:
Live your life now. Be happy. You never know how much time you have.

Though Ty is stepping away from the shop life, his influence is everywhere—from the first-timers to the return clients, and every artist still chasing their dream under this roof. Lee said it best: We’re proud to carry the torch forward.

Lee along side Tony, KC, Mya, and Ryan leading the next chapter, this isn’t the end—it’s a continuation of something powerful. A chapter rooted in legacy, community, and the tattoo family Ty built from the ground up.
